It’s Fall y’all! (WW)

I love Fall. It is my absolute favorite of all seasons. It’s gets hot and humid here during the Spring and Summer, so I long for those days when we can turn the AC off and open the doors and windows. It’s doesn’t usually get really cold here until December or January (like this week the high has been in the 70s). I always get so jealous of my friends in the northern states when they post photos of the leaves changing in August and September, but ours is definitely worth the wait. The colors are no less beautiful even though they take their sweet time. 🙂

Fall y'all!

Also, our sweet Black Lab Jersey passed a few months ago and Adam and I have been tossing the idea of getting another dog around. I don’t want a puppy, because I have to wipe enough butts as it is right now. Plus, there are so many older dogs that need homes. I would really love another Dachshund. Our little Daisy has been the best companion and she loves her babies (If you follow me on Instagram you got to see just how much Sav loves Daisy. She also thinks she’s tasty.), we also don’t really need another big dog since we are short on space.

Sweet Daisy Mae

I’ve been praying that the perfect dog will come our way. So hopefully we will have a new family member to introduce to you soon! 🙂

Until next time,

I mustache you a question…WW

Wow, it’s been a month since I’ve posted. I took a partial hiatus from the digital world. It was all becoming too much of a distraction and time suck. I say partial because I spend 99% of my time at work online. I also still religiously check my phone for work emails, so in order to completely unplug I would really need to take a vacation with no WiFi. Which really isn’t a bad idea.

So here’s a little of what’s been going on around here:

1. Fun on the Farm

2.This is a pony, right?

3.Where's my arm?!

4.I mustache you a question...

5.Me, too!

6.Updated selfie

7.Oh, how I'll miss his grainy photos.

8.Sissy likes to help!

1. We went to a birthday party that had a pony. A PONY, y’all. You know what this means for Scarlett’s birthday party expectations right?!

2. Sissy likes riding the dog. She must think she has her own personal pony. I feel sorry for Dexter when she starts to out weigh him.

3. We freaked some people out with Scarlett’s missing arm.

4. Scarlett, mustache you a question.

5. And Savannah, too.

6. Updated selfie. 🙂

7. Adam got rid of his phone. Oh, how I will miss his grainy photos. lol

8. Savannah loves the swifter. I took the middle piece out of it to make is shorter and let her go at it.

Hopefully, I keep at it. Until next time,

♥ J

Our first baby (WW#2)

Our sweet Labrador, Jersey, passed away last Saturday. She was born December 26, 1999 and was with my husband 7 years before he and I ever met. She was our first baby, and survived a lot in her first few years. She was a good dog, one of the sweetest I’ve ever met. I will miss her dearly.

Is this not the cutest picture?

Yes, that little black dot is her. She LOVED the river!

I have to believe that she’s in a better place. She’s waiting for us on the other side. She has all the new tennis balls she could ask for, and we will play fetch again one day.

Love you sweet Jersey.

This moment…

{this moment} – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

If you’re inspired to do the same, leave a link to your ‘moment’ over at SouleMama for all to find and see.

Our Family

So here’s the Gibson family! Est. 2009

Adam and Jess
This was our first picture taken together, circa 2007!
Our Sweet Scarlett
I have more up to date pictures of munchkin, but I just love this one. 🙂 We have a great photographer, if you’re in the Auburn/Opelika, AL or Birmingham, AL areas I highly recommend Tracy McDaniel Photography.
Jersey Girl
This sweet pup is 12 years old. She loves new tennis balls and is always up for a trip to the river. 🙂
Dexter aka Winkie
Dexter is our Dachshund mix. When I found him at the animal shelter, I thought he would small, you know like a Dachshund, lol. Well, 40lbs later and he still thinks he’s a lap dog. Scarlett loves trying to ride him around the house!
And our little Daisy
This dog may be small, but man can she catch a tennis ball. I think she’s a Lab stuck in a Dachshund’s body!
And of course we have a new Little One on the way! I’ll be posting weekly updates on my pregnancy starting Saturday. I also have a few projects that I’ve been working on. I’ll be posting those soon, so stay tuned!

So I’ve been playing around with the idea of writing a blog for a while now. My biggest hang up being, of course, what in the world do I write about?? So I decided to make it Anything Goes, for now. I’m a “go with the flow” kinda person, so it makes sense that this blog should be the same.

So now for the introductions! My name is Jessica, I’m 27, and have been married to my wonderful husband, Adam, for just over 3 years. We have an 18 month old Daughter, Scarlett, and one more on the way! (Due July 7th). I work in web sales for a medical supply company, and can I just say, I LOVE my job! I have the greatest bosses, and co-workers! They are supportive and uplifting, and genuinely care about people. They want to make a difference in people’s lives, not just make a quick buck, like so many these days. I truly feel blessed to work for such a wonderful company. We live in East-Central Alabama, close to both of our families, and we really have an amazing support network. We have three fur babies, Jersey, our black lab, Dexter aka Winkie, our dachshund mix, and Daisy our miniature dachshund.

Our lives are blessed in so many ways. It’s not always easy, but it’s defiantly all worth it!

I hope in the months to come that ya’ll can get to know me better, and in turn I can get to know you!

Until next time,
